Excursion programme
Licensed Montenegrin guides lead every excursion, supported by a member of our staff. Air-conditioned minibuses, walking sections of no more than 300 metres and planned rest stops keep each trip manageable. Groups return for the midday rest or by early evening.
Our standard
The catalogue
The programme includes the coast, lakes and mountains, with routes selected for the season. Before each stay, your home receives a schedule with dates, walking distances and return times.
Half day · year-round
The fjord-like UNESCO bay seen from the water: Perast, the pilgrimage island of Our Lady of the Rocks and the Venetian old town of Kotor. The covered boat seats everyone and moors right at the promenade.
Half day · spring–autumn
A quiet boat ride across the largest lake in the Balkans, between water-lily fields and monastery islands. Afterwards a tasting of wine and honey at a family estate — all at ground level, with shade and seating.
Half day · year-round
The old royal capital with its monastery, royal palace and museums — the cultural heart of the country. The bus stops right at each entrance; the museums are compact and largely step-free.
Half day · May–Oct.
The minibus follows the serpentine road above the Bay of Kotor and stops directly at the viewpoints. No long hike is required, and in summer the mountains are noticeably cooler than the coast.
Full day · June–Sept.
Black Lake lies in a northern national park at 1,400 metres. The programme includes a level lakeside path with benches and lunch at a mountain inn. As the drive is long, we schedule several rest stops.
Full day · year-round
The monastery built into the rock face is one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the Balkans. A shuttle takes the group right up to the upper monastery. For residents of faith it is part of our pilgrimage programme.
Half day · year-round
The wine cellar occupies a former underground aircraft hangar. The tasting is seated and held at a constant temperature, followed by a short sightseeing drive through the capital.
Full day · shoulder season
The south of the country: the olive tree of Bar, more than 2,000 years old, an olive-oil tasting and the long sandy beaches near Ulcinj — planned for the mild shoulder-season months.
For families
Our photographer joins the main excursions. At the end of the stay, each resident receives a printed album; families may also receive a weekly selection of photographs by email.
Next step
Conversations are possible now; the residence opens in 2027. We will first send a short overview and discuss possible excursions in a conversation.
